Warning: This Post Will be All Over The Place

Hello Lovelies!

So this post as the title suggests is going to have a lot going on. I hope you will all read it because this could get long. Mind you I don't post regularly so verbal diarrhoea is a bit of a side effect of this. :p

Ok. So I'm going to attempt to figure out how to have multiple pages on the blog. I want to have things posted at the forefront rather than everything getting lost as I add more posts. I want to have a "Plan" page where I describe diets or workouts that I'm currently attempting and a "Miscelaneous" page to keep track of anything else I want to maintain in my life (Finances, Cleaning etc.). So without further ado, I will begin this post.

Getting Ready For Jersey:

So I'm heading down to Stone Harbour, NJ again this summer for a week. This time around, I am determined to be as bikini ready as I can. Not only do I want to feel good in a bikini (I bought 3 new ones this winter) I want to look good for D, and turn the heads of the life guards (they're yummy :3). So, I have developed a plan that will work towards getting to the gym regularly, and a diet plan that I can easily use to lose weight, still look like I'm eating but I can make acceptions for events (social or family) I found the plan here on Tumblr. This girl is amazing at giving moderate workout plans (daily stuff) that doesn't seem too intimidating and easy to accomplish each day. Her recipes are extremely low cal and super tasty too. I'll be doing her 3 Day detox plan repeatedly except for when I have an event or a dinner where I have to eat something which is high cal. That meal will change and the Afternoon Snack will be taken out to supplement. I will also be doing her work out plans (levels 1-4). This stretches over a total of 88 days. I will be starting this week once create a calendar for myself to do the works outs. The great thing is, is that I can do some days while I'm at work and a lot at home. As the days progress, some days will require me going to the gym (weights or use of cardio machines for extended jogs or cardio sessions). This will be all posted on the "Plans" page. I do not take any credit for this and I will link the blog on Tumblr again to give credit where it is due.

Finances:

Miranda inspired me on her Shopaholic post to get my finances organized. I'm 26 for God's sake and my credit cards are horrendous. There is no excuse for the way I spend money and manage my credit cards. Miranda is fantastic with her saving and managing her finances, even though she has spoiled herself these last few months (TOTALLY deserving, this girl works damned hard). So I'm planning on getting my credit cards paid off by then end of the summer and then work on my line of credit. I have $4000 on my credit cards and $5000 on my line of credit. Ideally, if I dump $350-$500 each pay to my credit cards each pay (depending on bills) I can have them totally paid off by the end of August. My line of credit is joined with D so when he's done with his credit cards, we will both be putting in $300 each pay (depending on bills) to the line of credit. Hopefully we can get that mostly cleared so our next round of municipal taxes can be stuck on there in the fall (close to $1000 each time). D got his tax return this weekend so we were able to buy a new computer (our laptop died this past week) in full with only a small portion of the return (no $$ owing what-so-ever) and the rest he already put to his credit cards to get a head start. I'll be starting this payment plan on my cards not this week but the week after since I'm taking my mom out for Mother's Day and I have to get some new sandals as mine fell apart this weekend (Ardène's/Claire's here I come!)

My eating has been bad this last week as I have let D's poor choices affect me. Conversations go like this every evening.

Me: What do you want for dinner
D: I dunno. Whatever you want.
Me: If I knew I wouldn't be asking.
D: Well I can think of anything.
Me: You get home first think of something and take it out.
I get home from work and he hasn't done anything.
Me: So what are we having\?
D: I dunno. Let's order/go out.
By this time it's past 6 pm and I give in because I don't want to cook until 7 etc.

This week, I'll make myself something and he can just either eat what I'm having or fend for himself. I can't keep saying screw it. I'll be back up to the 160s in no time if I keep doing this. The plan will start next week (doing groceries on the weekend).

I am totally in love with David's Tea. I have never been much of a tea drinker (Orange Pekoe, Earl Grey or Green Tea) but these flavoured/designer teas are to die for. I have recently discovered their cupcake line which has Chocolate Cake, Ice Cream Cake and Birthday Cake. It all sounds and tastes completely sinful, but each cup is only 15 cals. I'm addicted. I am also in love with their "Here Comes the Sun" line and their Organics (Organic Detox and Buddha's Delight). My desk at work is just filled with little tins of teas and I indulge in multiple cups a day! I'm cutting down on my coffee intake which is in turn, cutting down on my creamer/milk intake.

This weekend my plan is to do a full spring clean on my house. I have made of list of tasks that need to be done and I will be spending my Saturday making the house perfect and working on my yard and getting my lawn up to snuff for the summer! So I plan on being busy and working hard. I should burn a few hundred calories doing this. It will be nice to have a clean house and starting at 0 so I can maintain the house rather than feeling defeated when I look a the disaster that is my house.

Well I should be getting back to work now lovelies. I'll leave you off with some pretty pictures!

One would think that sitting at computer all day would give me time to blog....

Ya. That's a big N-O.

This job has me crazy busy 24/7. I'm bringing home my work with me almost every night. I'm not complaining. I'm loving every minute of this job. THIS is what what I was meant to do. I've already brought in another 10 potentials for the upcoming year. This is going really well.

I'm no longer the chair of the Marketing Committee that I mentioned in my last post. It's way too much work on top of the work I already had. I am now just a "staff liason" and am just doing tasks that link into what I'm already doing for work. I'm helping organize an event on Friday with the parent committee to raise money for the students (books, supplies, sports equipment etc.) and I'm going crazy with that as well.

This job needs a lot of organization and the person I replaced was definitely NOT organized. Just trying to find something in this office makes me want to rip out my hair. Nothing is in a place that would make sense! And don't get me started on my laptop. Right now, any new files I put on this thing is currently sitting on my desktop because I have nowhere to archive these old files.

I still haven't managed to get myself to the gym at 6 am yet (after I drive D to work). Mostly because I'm not really sleeping at all at night. I get into bed absolutely exhausted and then my mind decides to run at top speed going over work. I just don't get it. I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!! I am still managing to go on the weekends and once or twice during the week.

I've been hovering in 131 and 132 but I'm coming up with a huge problem. D gets home before me now, usually by at least an hour. I get home drained from the day and I ask him what's for dinner and he hasn't thought of anything. Nor has he looked. He just plops in front of the TV after his shower and then waits for me to get home. And to top it off, refuses to come up with an idea. When I give suggestions he hums and haws and then says "Well it's getting late, and I'm really hungry so I think I'll just get/order *insert take out restaurant here*" I don't think we've cooked for the last 2 weeks. I feel gross and sluggish. All I know is that he's on his own tonight if he hasn't done anything. And this isn't only in the food/cooking department. It's the same with chores around the house. He made home made salsa weeks ago and didn't wash the food processor for over 2 weeks (it was rinsed). He'll sit at home all day and do nothing and then complain that there's so much to do. I use my days off to do ALL of our errands and then Sunday to visit him and family. I don't have time for me. He wants to change the sheets, so I told him yesterday morning (on his day off) to change them. I can't put on the fitted cover myself because the mattress is too heavy. He didn't do it, and then complained when we went to bed the sheets weren't changed. I don't get it.

Tonight, I have to pick up some donations for the event on Friday, and then I'm going to get some veggies for a salad for dinner. If he doesn't want what I'm brining home too bad for him. He has to figure out his own food.

I'm going to be buying the book Ballet Beautiful. Not sure if you guys have heard about the online program but Mary Helen Bowers (creator) is now coming out with a book and there are DVDs available as well. I saw in W magazine that the book is coming out in June and it seems like a really low impact workout that can help me do strength training without hurting my knees and wrists. I'm excited to head to Chapters to flip through the book to see if it's for me. The online courses are kind of pricey so I think buying the book will be better for me long term.

Anyways, I have to get back to work to just put the last few things in order before I leave for the day. So I'll just leave you with something pretty :)

Hello lovelies!

Sorry I haven't updated you all since my last little blub.

So the new job is awesome. Basically my title is Manager of Marketing and Admissions. I'm responsible for the school's admissions process; setting up interviews, scheduling testing, gathering transcripts and applications, sending out acceptance packages and logging payments. I also am in charge of marketing the school name to the public and increasing awareness of the school. That means I'll be attending school fairs and shows, meeting with agents and travelling to find markets that would work for our school. We are currently trying to break through the Asian market to increase our boarding numbers.

I am also on the Fundraising Marketing Committee. I am the chair of the Marketing Committee and we are responsible for increasing awareness to possible donors in the community. We are going to be building a new school as the buildings we are currently using are 50 years old and started off as a summer camp. The new building is absolutely beautiful (from the archetectural plans) but will require us to raise about 8 million to build to completion. So if any of you are supporters of education, please donate?? Lol just kidding (only sort of kind of).

Tonight is T's bachelorette and we're doing a Sex and the City theme and will be painting the town red. We will be having cosmos and sugar free jello shots. I need a good night out of dancing and debauchery. I'm currently sitting at 132, I can't seem to shed this pound that I've gained. I took a break from diet pills this last month because I didn't really feel any effects anymore. So, I bought the new NV pills again because the last time I took them I really liked them and they pushed me off my plateau. I hope this will get me over the 130 mark. Today is liquids ony until the party. We're doing a salad bar because T is famous for her crazy huge healthy salads. I think we have an ingredient list of about 20 things, different veggies and toppings like cheese, nuts and berries. I plan on keeping my salad to no dressing and veggies only. Light tummy = better drunk + super low cal.

Is it bad of me that I want to go out to the bar and get hit on? We're going to 21-25+ clubs so the clientel is going to be older (legal age here is 19). I just want to feel desirable and know I still have "it". Sometimes hearing the same things from D can loose its dazzle and sometimes I need to hear it from other people. I just need that confidence boost. So J and T have amazing outfits for the night and I definitely feel sub par to them. They're both so tiny and perfect, I always feel gross beside them. Pictures tonight are going to be horrible. I've been freaking out over what I'll be wearing today nothing fits right or looks right. Sigh...story of my life.

Anyways I'm off to pack and get myself together for this afternoon. I have a long day ahead of me.

Alright.

So, I think I've kept you all in the dark long enough. Starting on March 19, I will be working for a Boarding School doing Marketing and Recruitment. It was unbelieveable how the job just fell into my lap. Remember (way back) how I always said that getting a job these days requires you know someone? Well, I went to this boarding school and I've been an active Alum ever since. So, last Thursday, I get an e-mail from the principal telling me the job is opening up and that if I'm interested that I should submit my resume. Well, I did (obviously). Friday morning, it wasn't even 9 yet, I get an other e-mail from her telling me that a formal interview was unneccessarry and that I had the job. Basically, they wanted me from the get go.

I'm bouncing off the walls. I'm finally leaving the shackles of Costco after 6 years. I'm rid of that corrupt two sided place.

In other news. Today is T's Engagement party, and I will be having approximately 35-40 people over this afternoon. I hope my little house can hold that many!! It's currently 7:30, and I still have to vaccum, dust and wash the floors. I'm going to be waking D up in a moment, to go to the hardware store so we can finally put up a towel rack and a toilet paper roll holder (or whatever it's called). I'll also probalby get him to do the floors for me. I haven't asked him to do much since his favourite game came out this week (Mass Effect 3). I've let him get in some good playing time.

Obviously there will be a crap ton of food today, but for the most part it will be super healthy except some of the cheeses, meats and cupcakes.

Well I thought I would all bring you up to date with my goings ons. I hve to get back to getting ready. My friend J and her new boyfriend will be here at 10 and I still have to run out to the store before everyone gets here.

Hello my lovelies!!

I got a job offer this morning!! I don't have time to explain right now but I'll follow up with an update post later on today/tonight!!

I'm litterally bouncing off the walls right now!

Friday, February 24, 2012

Good morning lovelies,

Sorry I've been M.I.A again for a few weeks. I haven't been able to find the time to sit down at my computer.

So I have officially become consistant at going to the gym twice a week, eventhough, those two days are Sundays and Mondays. But you have to start somewhere right? I'm back down in the 133s again (steadily) so that's a bit of progress there.

I have decided that for lent I will give up buying food when I'm out. First off, this will save me money and secondly, I wont be consuming extra calories. I am also giving up my lattes as well. I can still buy coffee, water or gum/mints but anything that comes packaged or from a restaurant I will not be touching for 40 days. I think my biggest culprit is when I'm at work and the vending machine stares me down. It's usually only a protein bar, but at $1.50 a bar it adds up, and so do the carbs and the sugars.

The last 2 days have been quite successful. I am only bringing to work a piece of fruit, veggies and I have a small bag of almonds in my purse so I can grab 1 or 2 to put in my stomach if I get quite hungry. My cals at work are never more that 400. I am also only eating a small portion of food when I get home in the evenings and I've had nothing other than water after 8pm.

I've finally booked/planned my alumni event, and I am about to send out the invitations. I'm quite excited for this. I hope something turns up for me by the end of the event. Or at least a very good lead.

I am also in the middle of planning T's engagement party/wedding shower. I'm still waiting for a compatible excel file of the invitation list. I can't send out invites if I can't see the list.

Anyways lovelies, I must be off. I have a lot to do again today before work. I know I'm not so active on here that much anymore but I'm still reading all your posts every day from my phone. I'm getting on D's case to get his laptop fixed so I can get online a little bit more often.

Friday, February 3, 2012

Good morning lovelies,

I've been on vacation all this week and I have been hit by a sinus infection. This has landed me on the couch for most of the week barely being able to breathe. It hasn't been fun. I have been able to throw in some time throughout the day to at least do some sun salutations until I get so congested I get dizzy (about 20 mins). I've been spiking between 133 and 136 all week. I'm not sure if it's because I'm sick or my body just doesn't seem to want to cooperate. I haven't been eating horribly (read: no selection of food in the house) but it hasn't been the best selection of choices.

I'm starting to feel better and I'm going to be spending my day today cleaning the house, doing the P90X yoga DVD and getting my nails done. After all that I'm going to be going grocery shopping for the weekend and stocking up on food for the March 14 day Clean Eating meal plan. I got my issue in the mail last night and worked down the plan to only the necessities. I've pulled out the crackers and crips breads, any dairy and any other meals I don't really like. I've taken the daily calories from 1500-1700 down to roughly 1000-1200. I haven't finished modifying the plan but I think this is generally a good start.

The P90X DVD burns about 500 cals when you complete the full 90 minute session. I think if I stick to this and the cardio DVD and piece things together throughout the week I could possibly be burning 800-1000 a day. I just need to kick this cold and really nip it in the butt. At least I've been stretching with the sun salutations to keep me moving for a mostly sedentry week.

This weekend we're celebrating my cousin's 30th birthday. I am having a full house this weekend. My two cousins and their spouses are coming over, as well as my sister and her boyfriend. As a surprise for my cousin, we've also invited up his best friend and his wife as well. We're going to be spending the day downtown touring the winter sights. Winterlude has just started so we'll be spending some time on the canal and looking at ice sculptures. I just hope no one bugs me about not getting a Beaver Tail (to all my US readers, it's ok to think I'm crazy at this point). After we get frozen right through, the girls are going to dump the boys off at a pub and then go shopping! I have a $20 credit for Guess, and I'm on the search for some new jeans. Also, I'm going to buy myself some shoes from Forever21. After our escapade in the city, we're meeting back up with the parents (my aunt and uncle are down as well) and then going out for my cousin's birthday dinner. The place is called The Works and basically it's a burger joint where the burgers have almost every imaginable combination of toppings on them. There are over 100 different burgers. Take a look at the menu and see. I'm not sure what I'll be getting yet, but I'm think a portabello mushroom cap and lots of fresh veggies.

Sunday, as we all know is the Superbowl, so I'll be at my parents' watching the game (and all the ads). I was a little disappointe this week though. All the advertisers have "leaked" the commercials early. I saw 2 Doritos commercials, Bounce/Old Spice, Priceline, and the Coke commercial from 1979 with Mean Joe Greene (my 80s babies will know this one) remade for Downy fabric refresher/softener. Also earlier in the day I saw Audi's commercial. Let's just say I wasn't impressed. It took all the fun out of the surprises on game day. I am excited to see the new preview for the Avengers movie. At least I haven't seen any spoilers on that one!

I'm not looking forward to going back to work next week. Even though I didn't do anything this vacation, I just don't want to go back. I like my days free! Oh well that's life.

Well, I'm off to start my day. I have to pick D up from work at about 3. OH! I totally forgot!! He got a promotion last weekend! He is now the Produce Manager at his store. He's been working extremely long days to fix the department, since the last manager there destroyed it. So he's gotten a small increase in pay, which will be great for our big month of bills coming up in a few weeks.

Ok, NOW I'm off to start cleaning. I'm going to pull out my records and blast them through the house!
